Project Manager (Banking)

About the role

Capco Poland, a global technology and management consultancy focused on digital transformation in financial services, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic initiatives in the banking sector. The role covers end-to-end project delivery, aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements and timelines, and coordinates cross-functional teams across business, IT and risk. The position is offered under a flexible B2B collaboration model, with the chance to work on AI and automation initiatives for leading financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines and deliverables
• Manage project plans, budgets, resources and dependencies
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business, IT, risk and compliance
• Ensure delivery in line with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, AML, Basel and DORA
• Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies
• Drive governance, reporting and stakeholder communication, including with senior management
• Oversee vendor and third-party delivery where applicable
• Ensure quality assurance, testing readiness and successful implementation
• Support change management and business adoption, and monitor project performance against strategic goals

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in banking or financial services
• Strong understanding of banking operations, products and the regulatory landscape
• Experience delivering regulatory, risk or technology transformation projects
• Ability to manage complex, multi-stream projects in a matrix environment
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Required skills

• Project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile or hybrid)
• Project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA and Confluence
