Statutory Accountant (German Speaker)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Statutory Accountant to support our financial department across multiple European countries. The role involves handling statutory accounting tasks, participating in audit processes, and contributing to year‑end closings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review all statutory accounting work within an allocated portfolio, including monthly flux analysis and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare year‑end financial close activities such as US‑to‑local GAAP reconciliations and local GAAP financial statements.
• Act as the primary contact for auditors, preparing the PBC list and supporting quarterly and year‑end audits.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior statutory accounting staff to meet client deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 2‑3 years of accounting experience with strong attention to detail.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal) and at least B2 level German.
• Ability to organise large data sets, prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP (required).
