Marketing Manager - Stapling & Thoracic

About the role

Medtronic's Stapling & Thoracic business develops stapling technologies and solutions used across many surgical procedures. As an individual contributor within the Integrated Marketing function, the Marketing Manager defines portfolio strategy, identifies growth opportunities and brings customer-focused innovations to market. The role covers upstream marketing that supports long-term portfolio growth, market development and launch excellence across the region. It follows a flex work model combining office and remote work, with travel making up up to 40% of the role.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute portfolio strategies and integrated marketing plans aligned with regional growth objectives.
• Lead upstream marketing for the Stapling portfolio and Thoracic specialty, including market assessment, segmentation, positioning and lifecycle management.
• Plan and run new product launches with regional and global cross-functional teams.
• Analyse market trends, competition, customer insights and business performance to inform portfolio decisions.
• Work with sales, product management, clinical and commercial teams on portfolio strategy.
• Create and manage customer-facing materials, educational programmes and campaign content.
• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and lead marketing at congresses and conferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of marketing, market development, product marketing or portfolio management experience in healthcare, medical technology, life sciences or a regulated industry.
• Demonstrated experience developing portfolio strategies and supporting product launches.
• Experience leading regional or multi-country marketing initiatives.
• Experience developing value propositions, market access or pricing strategies.
• Fluent English, able to present and write marketing content.
• Preferred: Master's degree (MBA, Healthcare Management, Engineering or related); experience in the medical device industry and knowledge of surgical technologies, stapling solutions or thoracic procedures.
