Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services Team Member with German

About the role

PwC Poland’s FS Consulting team is seeking a motivated professional to join the Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services group. The role focuses on supporting banks, insurers and asset managers with complex accounting and regulatory challenges under IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in resolving accounting issues related to financial instruments, insurance contracts, structured transactions and regulatory-driven changes.
• Participate in IFRS conversion projects and the implementation of new standards such as IFRS 9, 15, 16 and 17.
• Support capital‑market engagements, including due diligence, prospectus preparation, comfort letters and fairness opinions.
• Collaborate with audit, M&A, tax and legal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to tech‑enabled finance digitalisation initiatives using low‑code/no‑code tools, data analytics and process mining.

Required profile

• Completed or near‑completion of a degree in business administration, economics, engineering or a related field, preferably with an accounting or finance focus.
• Strong interest in IFRS and HGB accounting, supported by internship experience in auditing, accounting or consulting.
• Excellent analytical abilities, proactive attitude and collaborative mindset.
• Fluency in German and English.
