Senior Business Analyst – Payments & Settlement

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead and support product, system and operational initiatives within its Settlement Service portfolio. The role bridges business and IT, translating customer needs into clear project requirements and ensuring delivery of scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage medium‑sized projects or segments of larger initiatives in global payments and settlement.
• Translate customer needs into specific objectives and define settlement project requirements.
• Identify solutions for common issues and estimate resources and evaluation criteria.
• Coordinate vendor and internal workflow impacts for new products.
• Monitor business context, regulatory, legal, competitive and technology landscapes.
• Apply Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodology to partner with product and development teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
• Maintain consistent product documentation and institutional knowledge.

Required profile

• Professional experience in financial services, cards, payments or related fields.
• Understanding of Mastercard’s product delivery process.
• Experience working at Mastercard facilities or customer locations.
• Analysis or testing experience.
• Proven ability to build relationships with technical, business and financial partners.

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Good understanding of software methodologies and their limitations.
• Agile development methodology.
• Leadership capability and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in multiple languages, with Spanish preferred.
