Workplace Investigator Europe

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY POLAND is recruiting a Workplace Investigator for the Hitachi Energy Integrity Function, which is an independent, objective unit within the Legal & Integrity Function. It receives reports of allegations against employees and businesses concerning breaches of the Code of Conduct, manages the lifecycle of those allegations through fact-finding investigations and reports to disciplinary committees. The post sits under the Head of OSI (Labor/Workplace matters) and works with Legal, Integrity, HR and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct workplace investigations from intake to closure, including data collection and review, forensic analysis and interviews of whistleblowers, witnesses, victims and subjects
• Write reports and communicate with disciplinary committees at various levels in the Group
• Carry out the role regionally and, if needed, globally, travelling up to 10% of the time
• Train the Legal & Integrity and HR teams on investigation skills and support them regularly
• Help improve internal controls (lessons learned) and support the function's maturity

Required profile

• Experience in corporate or workplace investigations
• Preferred background in Law, HR or Audit
• Strong personal character, good judgment, attention to detail and dedication to protecting the company's assets and reputation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; intercultural sensitivity

Required skills

• Experience with eDiscovery tooling (Zylab / Relativity)
• Management skills are an asset
