Solution Architect – GraphQL

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect specialized in GraphQL to lead the design, governance, and implementation of our enterprise GraphQL platform. You will work closely with architects, product owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑performance APIs that support our digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise GraphQL architecture, including reference architectures and design principles.
• Design and implement GraphQL Federation (Supergraph) with schema governance and ownership models.
• Develop and maintain schema versioning strategies and architectural standards.
• Lead technical discussions and provide guidance for GraphQL‑based integration initiatives.
• Act as the organization’s GraphQL subject‑matter expert and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with Enterprise and Segment Architects to align business and technical requirements.
• Support Digital Product Owners in shaping roadmaps and long‑term platform strategy.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, governance frameworks, and target architecture.
• Mentor engineering teams on design patterns, federation, and schema evolution.
• Work with DevOps to improve observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 8+ years of solution or integration architecture experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise‑scale API solutions in an Agile environment.

Required skills

• GraphQL architecture and federation (Subgraphs, Federated Supergraphs).
• GraphQL schema design, queries, mutations, subscriptions.
• Schema governance and versioning strategies.
• Enterprise integration architecture and API‑led connectivity.
• API management platforms.
• Observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Splunk.
• Agile delivery methodologies.
