Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

About the role

Skywise, a digital services company owned by Airbus, is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to ensure smooth operation and reliable delivery of its cloud‑based solutions. You will design, implement and manage scalable AWS infrastructure while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage robust, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to transition solutions from development to production.
• Champion system reliability through proactive monitoring and rapid issue resolution.
• Drive automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Monitor, report and optimise hosting costs and efficiency.
• Promote cloud best practices, security compliance and cost‑control.
• Lead technology watch, evaluate new AWS services and experiment with emerging solutions.
• Participate in root‑cause investigations and implement long‑term fixes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing and building secure solutions in public cloud, preferably AWS.
• Strong automation skills with Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins.
• Public‑cloud associate certification (AWS Solution Architect Associate or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of enterprise networking principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities in cloud environments.
• Proactive communicator able to work with internal and external stakeholders.
