Cloud Operations & Observability Engineer

About the role

Skywise, a digital services company owned by Airbus, is looking for a visionary Cloud Operations & Observability Engineer to lead the design and execution of its next‑generation monitoring and observability strategy. You will work across merged teams to harmonise cloud platforms, optimise costs and embed AI‑driven operations.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing telemetry, monitoring tools and workflows, identify gaps and redundancies across legacy and new solutions.
• Define a unified, scalable roadmap for observability, proactive alerting and cost‑optimised cloud operations.
• Drive migration and consolidation of monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, Datadog) into a single control room.
• Integrate AIOps capabilities for predictive alerting, automated incident response and anomaly detection.
• Promote modern SRE practices and ensure knowledge transfer from external consultants.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience designing enterprise‑level observability platforms.
• Deep expertise with AWS services and native monitoring (CloudWatch) – AWS certification preferred.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally, influence senior management and lead consensus.
• Interest or experience applying Machine Learning/AI to operational data (AIOps).
