Senior Agentic Backend Engineer

About the role

beqom is seeking a Senior Agentic Backend Engineer to own specifications and AI‑driven pipelines for its multi‑tenant data platform. You will guide AI agents to generate production code, verify outputs, and ensure reliable data services for pay equity and compensation SaaS products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain structured Product Requirement Prompts (PRPs) and spec files that drive AI agents to build data ingestion, schema management, snapshots, calculated fields and export services.
• Build and operate the agentic pipeline, monitoring token usage, latency, cost and embedding governance, audit trails and data‑classification gates.
• Engineer verification frameworks using external behavioural scenarios, holdout sets and digital twins to validate agent‑generated code.
• Collaborate with Data Platform, Analytics, Support and Product teams to translate needs into agent‑executable specifications.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience delivering production backend services with .NET/C# and PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability to shift from writing code to directing AI coding agents (Claude Code preferred) and managing parallel agent sessions.
• Strong expertise in writing precise, testable specifications and scenario‑based verification.
• Solid architectural judgement to assess performance, scalability and reliability of AI‑proposed solutions.
