Senior Java Developer with Oracle SQL

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join an investment‑banking client’s team in Krakow. You will work on modern, scalable back‑end services, applying clean‑code principles and agile practices to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable back‑end services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot and Spring.
• Implement data access with Hibernate and SQL, tune Oracle or PostgreSQL queries for performance.
• Define and consume RESTful APIs, collaborate across teams, and participate in agile ceremonies.
• Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests, perform code reviews, and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong core Java skills and hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, microservices and RESTful API design.
• Proven ability to analyse and optimise SQL queries on Oracle (preferred) or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure.
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux command‑line tools.
