Principal Game Designer

About the role

Tencent's Level Infinite, a global game publisher, is hiring a Principal Game Designer in Warsaw, Poland. The role works closely with partner studios on the development of their AAA games, helping define and protect each project's creative vision, gameplay pillars and player promise, and travels regularly across Europe to build partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with partner studios on the development of their AAA games.
• Help define, strengthen and protect the creative vision, gameplay pillars and player promise of each project.
• Give creative insight, strategic direction and actionable feedback to design and leadership teams.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen individual projects and the broader portfolio of partner studio games.
• Spot creative risks early and help teams navigate practical trade-offs.
• Contribute hands-on to game design work when needed, supporting teams directly on key challenges.
• Mentor design leadership and help raise the quality bar across partner teams.
• Travel regularly to meet and work with teams across Europe.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in game development.
• 3+ years in a creative senior leadership role such as Lead Designer, Creative Director, Game Director or equivalent.
• 2+ shipped AAA PC and console shooter or action games.
• Strong experience on at least one shipped online, multiplayer or live-service title.
• Willingness to travel and work directly with partner studios across Europe.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of multiplayer systems design across PvP, PvE and co-op.
• Knowledge of game economies and monetization models, including free-to-play, battle passes and live-service content strategies.
• Strategic vision and hands-on execution, with clear communication and stakeholder management.

What we offer

• Expected base pay of PLN 255,600 to PLN 433,200 per year, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
