Junior IT Engineer

About the role

Macrobond, a global provider of economic and financial data for investment professionals, is hiring a Junior IT Engineer in Szczecin on a fixed-term contract of 40 hours. The role provides first-line internal IT support and basic infrastructure maintenance, acting as the main contact for employees' day-to-day IT needs while building technical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve basic internal IT support tickets, providing support in person, by phone or remotely.
• Diagnose software, peripheral and hardware issues, run diagnostics and inspect hardware, and guide users through troubleshooting.
• Provide basic computer and system usage training and write simple training manuals and user documentation.
• Install, upgrade and maintain hardware and software, and set up computers and IT access for new employees.
• Support IT Internal Services projects and assist administrative teams with technical issues.
• Apply IT security and data privacy principles and cooperate with internal departments and third-party providers.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk or a similar role, or relevant internship experience.
• Technical education background or equivalent practical experience.
• English at B2 level or higher.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills, willingness to learn new technologies, and ability to work under pressure in an agile environment.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Endpoint management familiarity (Intune, MDM, Microsoft Entra ID) is an advantage.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP); CCNA-level knowledge is a plus.
• Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting experience.
