Financial Services Accounting Specialist (German)

About the role

PwC Poland's Broader Assurance Services team, which includes specialists in finance and compliance, is looking for a Financial Services Accounting Specialist / Senior Specialist with German in Warsaw. You will handle accounting and reporting processes for German-speaking clients, including real estate, project management and audit support.

Key responsibilities

• Process transactions and documents for the assigned accounting and reporting processes, in line with work procedures.
• Carry out period-end closing, reporting, account and ledger reconciliation, and help with quarterly, semi-annual and annual audits.
• Cooperate with expert teams to resolve customer requests.
• Identify unusual or potentially suspicious transactions and report or escalate them according to policy.
• Meet efficiency and quality targets, including SLAs, KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Review updated procedures, join new client onboarding and work on projects with German clients.

Required profile

• Currently studying or a university degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of accounting/reporting experience in the financial sector.
• German at B1-B2 level and English at minimum B2 level.
• Basic understanding of accounting regulations for insurance and/or banking.
• Nice to have: German language certificate and shared services experience.

Required skills

• Analytical and computer skills, including Excel, Power BI and Power Query.
• Knowledge of new technologies and AI-based tools, such as task automation and information analysis.
