Technical Sales Engineer – Electronics Distribution

About the role

This Technical Sales Engineer position sits within Arrow Global Components (AGC), part of Arrow Electronics, and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers and Arrow partners to create demand for Arrow products. The role combines demand creation, account management and relationship development, with a strong focus on offering engineering and supply chain solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and partners to create demand for Arrow products.
• Identify the technical needs of complex, emerging or underpenetrated prospects and match Arrow's solutions to customer business needs.
• Drive new opportunities and product selection within assigned accounts, using other technical resources as needed.
• Schedule regular visits to customer facilities, understand their needs and turn them into Arrow requirements or business opportunities.
• Sell solutions with a working knowledge of Arrow's supply chain solutions and design processes, with emphasis on demand creation and engineering.
• Stay up to date on product knowledge and technologies, attend supplier training events, and keep supplier databases and design registration information accurate.

Required profile

• Higher degree, ideally in Engineering, with a strong interest in technology and innovation.
• Around 5 years of experience in the electronics industry is preferred.
• Innovative approach to business development, able to introduce change and new solutions supported by business justification.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, diplomacy and influencing skills; professional, proactive and goal-oriented.
• Business fluency in English is a must.
