People Operations Specialist

About the role

The People Operations Specialist will deliver a consistent, high‑quality employee experience across the entire lifecycle, from onboarding to off‑boarding, while ensuring compliance with employment laws. You will support People Partners and other HR functions to optimise business performance and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the employee lifecycle, including contracts, documentation, HRIS records, benefits administration and employee queries.
• Support payroll, performance and compensation processes, ensuring accurate data and timely reporting.
• Provide guidance on People policies, handle employee relations queries and partner with People Partners on initiatives.
• Maintain compliance and data accuracy, support audits and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, contribute to People projects and identify AI/automation opportunities.
• Prepare People metrics and reports, stay informed on legislation and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or formal training in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in HR or People Operations.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Good knowledge of employment laws and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday experience desirable).
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Familiarity with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Ability to identify and implement AI and automation solutions.
