Business Analyst & UX Design Team Lead

About the role

ABB is looking for a Business Analyst and UX Design Team Lead in Krakow, reporting to the IS Applications & Architecture Manager. The role leads and evolves a world-class Business Analysis and UX capability that acts as the trusted partner between business and technology, guiding teams from ideas to outcomes and delivering measurable value from digital investments. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery and solution shaping: drive business and product discovery, define problems and opportunities, and turn strategy into prioritized backlogs.
• Build and lead the analysis practice: coach and develop Business Analysts and UX Designers, set standards and build a customer-centric, data-driven culture.
• Own requirements and experience quality: keep business needs, user journeys and requirements aligned, traceable and testable.
• Align stakeholders with business leaders, product owners, architects and delivery teams, and facilitate decisions.
• Drive analysis excellence by improving frameworks, methods, templates and communities of practice.
• Ensure value delivery from discovery to delivery readiness, using value hypotheses, KPIs and adoption metrics.
• Manage internal and external BA/UX capabilities and oversee delivery partners.
• Champion change and adoption through communication, training and feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's in Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10-12+ years in IS/IT, including 8+ years in Business Analysis and 5+ years leading BA and/or UX practitioners.
• Proven delivery in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Required skills

• Requirements definition and management (epics to stories), process modelling (BPMN), capability mapping, backlog refinement and UAT support.
• Human-centered design practices (research, personas, journeys, service blueprints, wireframes, prototypes), accessibility and design ops governance.
• Agile (Scrum/SAFe), Design Thinking, OKRs/KPIs and hypothesis-driven delivery.
• Familiarity with Figma and Adobe tools is beneficial.
