Accountant – Financial Reporting (Krakow)

About the role

Join Zurich Insurance's Shared Service Centre in Krakow to perform financial accounting and reporting activities that support both Group and local objectives. The role offers exposure to regional and global projects, requiring a proactive, flexible attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and perform general ledger bookings and account reconciliations, including deferred income tax, accruals, provisions and pre‑payments.
• Prepare Group and external reporting such as balance sheet, profit & loss and supplementary information in accordance with IFRS, Swiss GAAP, Swiss Solvency Test and other applicable standards.
• Execute intercompany reconciliations and postings, and support closing activities including sub‑ledger interfaces, revaluations and cost allocations.
• Participate in projects related to chart of accounts changes and maintain contacts with FAR Controllers, actuaries and local accountants.
• Perform controls within the ICFR framework.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in general ledger, financial audit or reporting.
• Degree in Finance and Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP financial system (preferred).
