Accountant – Financial Reporting & GL

About the role

Join Zurich's Shared Service Centre in Krakow to perform financial accounting and reporting activities that support both Group and local objectives. The role offers exposure to regional and global projects, requiring a proactive, flexible "can‑do" attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and post general ledger entries, including deferred tax, accruals, provisions and pre‑payments.
• Prepare Group and external reports (balance sheet, P&L, supplementary information) in accordance with IFRS, Swiss/German GAAP, Solvency Test and other applicable standards.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations, asset accounting and various month‑end closing tasks.
• Support projects such as Chart of Accounts changes, system upgrades and ICFR controls.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience (GL, audit or financial reporting).
• Degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and fluent written and spoken English.
