Technology Lead / Engineering Lead

About the role

Digital Forms is seeking a Technology Lead to drive technical delivery for a US‑based SaaS platform operating in a regulated, healthcare‑adjacent market. The role will embed within the Poland engineering team, providing day‑to‑day technical leadership across multiple squads and serving as the primary technical liaison for senior client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day technical activities across backend, frontend, AI/ML, data, QA and DevOps squads.
• Ensure engineering quality, enforce code review standards and manage technical debt on an AWS serverless stack (Lambda, Python/FastAPI, Angular/TypeScript).
• Maintain architectural coherence across squads and flag strategic changes to the CIO.
• Plan sprint delivery, estimate effort and manage cross‑squad dependencies.
• Act as the main technical contact for senior client stakeholders, translating technical status and risk into business terms.
• Support hiring and technical growth of the team as it scales over the next 12‑18 months.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven experience leading distributed or offshore engineering teams, preferably in a client‑facing context.
• Fluent professional English and based in or near Poland with reasonable overlap with US business hours.
• Comfortable representing the team to senior, non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, etc.)
• Python programming, including FastAPI
• Modern frontend frameworks – Angular and TypeScript
• Full‑stack development experience
