Service Specialist - Process Analyzers & CEMS

About the role

ABB's Measurement & Analytics Division is hiring a Service Specialist in Warsaw/Płock, reporting to the Service Manager. The role covers service work of low to medium complexity on process analyzers, gas chromatographs and CEMS systems, with a hybrid work model. It involves on-site service across Poland and internationally, including plant start-ups and acceptance tests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic inspections, maintenance and repairs of process analyzers, gas chromatographs and CEMS systems
• Install, commission and diagnose and repair measurement systems at customer sites
• Carry out calibrations, functional tests and electrical measurements of instrumentation and control equipment
• Identify and resolve technical issues with analytical equipment
• Prepare service reports, technical documentation and recommendations for customers
• Coordinate on-site service, supervise tasks and maintain direct technical relationships with customers
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Technical Support teams on project delivery
• Ensure compliance with ABB's health, safety, quality and operational procedures

Required profile

• Technical education (university degree or technical secondary education) in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Engineering, Instrumentation & Control or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience servicing I&C equipment, analytical systems or industrial automation systems
• Knowledge of process analyzers, gas chromatographs, CEMS or similar equipment
• Ability to diagnose electrical, electronic and process faults
• Willingness to travel frequently within Poland and occasionally abroad
• Category B driving licence
• Communicative English and clear communication skills

Required skills

• Reading technical documentation, electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams
• Nice to have: SEP electrical qualifications (E) up to 1 kV, industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP)
• Nice to have: experience in petrochemical, power generation, gas or environmental installations, commissioning and ABB systems (AO2000, ACF5000, EL3000, GCP100, NGC8206)
