Mobile Test Automation Engineer

About the role

Solvd Inc., an AI-native consulting and technology services firm, is looking for a Mobile Test Automation Engineer to join its team working on a social news aggregation platform. The role covers automated and manual testing of iOS and Android apps, automation framework maintenance and integration into CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and execute automated and manual tests for iOS and Android mobile applications.
• Build and maintain mobile automation suites using XCUITest and Espresso.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability and end-to-end testing on real devices and emulators.
• Diagnose failures, investigate defects and help engineering teams find root causes.
• Develop test plans, test cases, test procedures and release-quality reports.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test and infrastructure stability.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and partner engineering teams in an Agile lifecycle.
• Provide risk-based test coverage for new features and experiments and estimate testing effort.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building or maintaining mobile automation frameworks.
• Strong experience testing iOS and Android apps, preferably social media or high-scale consumer apps.
• Ability to create test plans and coverage strategies from product requirements.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with frequent or weekly production releases.
• Preferred: experience testing social, community or messaging platforms at scale, and with iOS, Android, web and mobile web.

Required skills

• XCUITest and Espresso, including framework development, debugging and CI execution.
• CI/CD pipeline integration and mobile QA methodologies.
• Knowledge of device fragmentation, permissions, notifications, deep links and app lifecycle.
• Tools such as Jira, Confluence and test management systems.
• Preferred: API testing and backend validation.
