Junior Legal Analyst – Mass Claims (Banking)

About the role

The Legal Centre of Excellence at PwC supports mass‑settlement and mass‑litigation projects for banking clients. As a Junior Legal Analyst you will work on civil proceedings, draft legal documents, and interact directly with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Handle cases in mass‑settlement and mass‑litigation projects, including client phone contacts.
• Draft and prepare statements of defence, appeals, pleadings and other legal correspondence.
• Negotiate settlement terms with opposing parties to achieve favourable outcomes.
• Analyse complex factual and legal issues to develop litigation strategies and assess risks.
• Review and analyse legal documents for compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify legal and compliance risks and draft/red‑line documentation.
• Conduct legal research using internal and external sources.
• Monitor legal and regulatory databases and interact with PwC and client stakeholders across territories.

Required profile

• Advocate/attorney‑at‑law trainee or holder of a professional qualification as an advocate or attorney‑at‑law.
• Prior litigation experience, especially with banking sector clients.
• Knowledge of financial products, banking regulations and Swiss franc‑linked loan issues.
• Strong command of civil law, contract law and civil procedure.
• Very good written and spoken English (minimum B2).
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
