Junior HR Specialist

About the role

Dentons Business Services EMEA is looking for a proactive, results-oriented Junior HR Specialist to join its UKIME HR Operations team. You will be part of the wider HR Services team but give dedicated operational support to the UK HR Business Partnering and HR Services teams. The role is based in the Warsaw office, works in the UK time zone (10 am - 6 pm) and follows a hybrid model with 1-2 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for standard HR administration queries, monitoring incoming requests and escalating them when needed
• Create and maintain accurate employee records in the HR management system for UK staff
• Administer pre-employment screening and support new joiner inductions
• Support onboarding, probation and other employee lifecycle processes, and arrange exit interviews and meetings
• Produce standard HR letters and documents such as mortgage, tenancy and employment references
• Update holiday and absence queries in the absence management system and keep HRIS and document management systems up to date
• Prepare HR reports and provide HR data as required
• Opportunity to take part in transition and transformation projects

Required profile

• At least one year's experience in a law firm, human resources or professional services environment
• Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• PC literate, with a good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Accurate, self-standing, detail-oriented, proactive and people-focused
• Customer and teamwork oriented
