HUGO Robotic Startup Specialist

About the role

Medtronic is entering the robotic-assisted surgery market and is looking for a startup specialist to integrate its HUGO robotic system into hospitals in Poland. The role covers the full start-up of a robotic surgery program, whether expanding an existing program, creating a new one or switching from another platform. It involves working closely with hospital stakeholders, surgeons and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with robotic program stakeholders and define program goals and metrics for the HUGO system
• Hold regular program review meetings to stay on track
• Develop a surgeon training plan, coordinate off-site training and arrange proctored cases after training
• Create a training plan for staff and support them through their learning curve
• Attend cases during surgeons' and staff's learning sessions and coach staff toward self-sufficiency
• Use change management techniques to gain buy-in from clinical stakeholders
• Work with the field service engineer and hospital staff to prepare the operating room for the HUGO system

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree at minimum (Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, etc.); a Master's degree preferred
• Fluent Polish and English; speaking more languages is a plus
• Willingness to travel throughout the country more than 75% of the time
• Demonstrable experience of over 2 years, including knowledge of operating rooms and surgery procedures
