Technical Consultant for Spine

About the role

Medtronic is looking for a Technical Consultant for Spine based in Gdansk to support the safe and effective adoption of its spine technologies across Northern and Western Poland (Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, West Pomeranian and Greater Poland voivodeships). The role works directly with surgeons, operating room teams and sales colleagues, providing clinical and technical expertise during spine procedures. It is a field-based position combining operating room support, product education, inventory management and clinical training, with extensive travel and regular presence in operating rooms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support during spine procedures, partnering with surgeons, operating room teams and sales representatives.
• Deliver product education, procedural guidance and training to physicians, nurses and operating room staff.
• Run on-site product demonstrations, workshops and in-service training sessions.
• Collaborate with hospital stakeholders and internal teams to optimise procedural workflows and customer experience.
• Manage and track consignment and loaner inventories.
• Respond quickly and accurately to customer feedback, product events, complaints, legal issues, risks and field actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of spine therapies, products, clinical evidence and market developments.
• Support internal training for Sales, Capital and Service teams, including new product launches and laboratory workshops.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biology, Marketing, Business Administration or a comparable discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the medical device industry or in a hospital operating room environment.
• Experience supporting clinical procedures in an operating room.
• Fluency in Polish and English.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.

Preferred

• Experience supporting spine implant procedures.
• Nursing background or experience as a physician assistant.
• Knowledge of spine surgical therapies and the spine implant market.
• Experience delivering product training or managing consignment or loaner inventory.
