GCP Platform Engineer

About the role

ING Hubs Poland is hiring a GCP Platform Engineer to build and maintain its Data Analytics Platform on Google Cloud. You will join a multinational, distributed team working in an agile, lean, design-thinking squad focused on platform engineering, automation-first approaches and modern cloud-native technologies. The role is named "Engineer IV" in ING's global job architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain ING's Data Analytics Platform on GCP
• Develop infrastructure automation services using Golang
• Create and maintain cloud-native, scalable and secure solutions
• Support platform users and ensure smooth tenant onboarding
• Improve and evolve key platform components and architecture
• Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting
• Ensure platform reliability, including on-call rotations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure and cost-efficient solutions

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Hands-on experience building data platforms on GCP (Cloud Run, Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc, GCS)
• Strong Golang experience, especially for infrastructure or automation services
• Infrastructure as Code mindset; Terraform is required
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of cloud-native architecture, networking fundamentals (VPC, DNS, load balancing, firewall) and secure authentication and encryption (OIDC, KMS, SSL/TLS)
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts and contribute to design documentation
• English at B2 level or higher

Extra points: distributed systems and large-scale data processing on GCP, infrastructure performance optimization, open-source contributions and an automation-first mindset. Salary range stated as 13,000 - 28,000 PLN.
