DevOps MSSQL Administrator (Operation & Automation)

About the role

ING Hubs Poland is hiring a DevOps MSSQL Administrator focused on operation and automation. The role supports critical data flows and infrastructure serving global clients, within a team that values efficiency and automation. The expected salary is 12,000 - 16,000 PLN gross.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain MS SQL Server and Windows Server environments
• Automate tasks and manage CI/CD pipelines using PowerShell, Python, Azure DevOps and Stonebranch UAC
• Ensure security compliance, manage access rights, and carry out patching and audits
• Handle L1/L2 tickets, communicate in English and manage SLA/SLO
• Plan and implement changes (CHG), including in production, and maintain documentation and runbooks

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in production
• Ability to diagnose application and database issues, including log analysis, connectivity problems and performance issues
• Experience handling incidents, problems and changes in production
• Knowledge of SQL Server and Windows Server security best practices
• B2+ English, independence, attention to detail and good technical communication
• Openness to shift work and on-call duties

Required skills

• SQL Server 2016/2019/2022: backup/restore, permissions, maintenance, monitoring and performance tuning
• High availability: Always On Availability Groups and WSFC
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, AD, DNS, GPO, certificates and service accounts
• PowerShell automation; monitoring/logging tools such as SCOM, Elastic Stack, Kibana, Grafana, Open Telemetry or Prometheus
• Nice to have: Stonebranch UAC, Azure DevOps, data orchestration tools, IIS, Microsoft HPC Pack
