Data Platform Administrator

About the role

ComeOn Group, a global iGaming company founded in 2008 and operating more than 20 brands, is looking for a Data Platform Administrator in Katowice, Poland. The role sits in the Data Platform Engineering & Operations team and covers platform uptime, schema changes, performance optimization and large-scale data operations and migrations. It combines hands-on operational work with growth into broader data engineering responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own MySQL, MongoDB and related systems across development and production environments
• Ensure database uptime, reliability, performance tuning, monitoring, scaling, backups and security
• Manage schema changes, large-table operations and data migrations
• Lead database upgrades and refactor legacy structures into modern, scalable designs
• Automate operational tasks and support real-time pipelines and data flows
• Support audits, change management and regulatory compliance, and manage access controls and release processes
• Partner with developers, product owners, BI teams and QA, and grow into broader engineering responsibilities

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience administering MySQL and MongoDB
• Experience with schema changes, large-table operations, performance tuning and migrations
• Strong operational mindset: high availability, backups and platform reliability
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Proactive, confident and able to take ownership
• Collaborates well with developers, product owners, BI teams, QA and DevOps
• Proficient English, spoken and written

Required skills

• MySQL and MongoDB administration
• Cloud exposure (BigQuery, AWS, GCP)
• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, SQL)
