Back-end Software Developer - Java/Spring

About the role

DXC Luxoft is looking for an experienced Java Developer for a Banking customer to work on a Trading application in Warsaw. The role is senior level and focuses on building and maintaining Java-based applications and microservices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.
• Design and deploy monitoring, logging and alerting systems.
• Ensure security best practices are followed throughout development and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test and production environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA analysts and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay current with Java development trends and best practices, including DevOps.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of overall experience.
• Strong backend Java skills in microservices, Spring Boot, collections, low latency, multithreading and concurrency.
• Good understanding of deployment processes, server connectivity and management, and basic system resource management (RAM, CPU).
• English at C2 (proficient senior) level.

Required skills

• Containerization: Kubernetes and Podman.
• Pipeline creation and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Nice to have: banking domain experience, financial markets background on trading systems, and UI/ReactJS experience.
