Test Automation Engineer – Android

About the role

Solvd Inc. is an AI‑native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with Android automation experience to join our team working on a social news aggregation platform.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated test cases, execute test suites, review and diagnose reported bugs, and ensure overall system quality before production release.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test suites through continuous integration to provide rapid feedback.
• Maintain test‑infrastructure stability in non‑production environments.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with cross‑functional teams to identify root causes.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to produce test plans, test cases, procedures, and reports.
• Work across functional areas with internal partner engineering teams in a disciplined agile environment.
• Estimate testing tasks and work productively with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong team attitude.
• Influence the engineering organization on unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building automation frameworks for mobile/web applications, especially social media or related apps.
• High proficiency in testing methodology, SDLC, test documentation procedures, and QA best practices.
• Ability to independently create test plans based on requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to perform ad‑hoc and exploratory testing.
• Comfortable with both iOS and Android testing environments.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced development environment.
• Creative problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum SDLC and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
