CMS & DAM Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a CMS & DAM Engineer to build a greenfield digital news platform for a major international news brand. You will own the end-to-end configuration of the CMS and digital asset management layers, from content models to integrations with video, search and distribution services.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and develop the selected CMS platform (AEM or Amplience), implementing content models, templates, components and editorial workflows.
• Design and manage DAM workflows, metadata structures, taxonomy, rights, renditions and asset lifecycle processes.
• Integrate CMS with DAM, video pipelines, search engines, CDNs and downstream distribution APIs.
• Support breaking-news and high-traffic scenarios, including homepage mode-switching and multi-user role-based permissions.
• Provide testing, editorial training, production stabilization and multi-year support.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience configuring and developing on AEM or Amplience in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of DAM concepts such as metadata, taxonomy, rights management and asset lifecycle.
• Experience integrating CMS/DAM with third-party services (video platforms, search, CDN, distribution APIs).
• Ability to work on structured delivery programmes with clear milestones.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with editorial, product and engineering teams.
