Senior Java Developer – Trading Platforms

About the role

A global agency trading technology team in Wroclaw, Poland is looking for a Senior Java Developer. The team develops, enhances and supports high-performance trading platforms that enable critical trading and client-facing workflows across financial markets. The project focuses on modernizing Java-based trading applications and high-performance messaging solutions, using cloud, containerization and modern DevOps technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance Java applications and messaging solutions.
• Build scalable, event-driven components using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications on Azure/AKS, using Helm and Terraform.
• Implement and improve CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Tune, troubleshoot and optimize high-throughput applications.
• Monitor production systems, investigate incidents and ensure reliability, security and operational stability.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps and business teams on solution design and delivery.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and enterprise application development with Spring Boot and Spring Security.
• Proven experience with performance analysis, troubleshooting and tuning of high-throughput, messaging-intensive applications.

Required skills

• Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ, including messaging patterns and performance considerations.
• Microsoft Azure, AKS and containerized environments.
• DevOps and CI/CD, including Helm and Terraform.
• SQL and PostgreSQL, and distributed caching with Apache Ignite and Hazelcast.

Nice to have: C++20, exchange connectivity or execution algorithm experience, FIX/ITCH/OUCH protocols, performance tools such as perf and Intel VTune, and knowledge of low-latency techniques.
