Junior R2R Analyst - General Ledger & Reporting

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Junior R2R Analyst - General Ledger & Reporting to join its finance team in Łódź. You will carry out end-to-end Record to Report activities for less complex entities, ensuring accurate accounting, timely closing and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role is part of a transition environment, so hands-on experience in transition or migration projects is a valuable asset.

Key responsibilities

• Perform R2R activities for assigned entities, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
• Review Balance Sheet and P&L accounts, including inventory accounting, and perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and confirm balances with counterparties
• Prepare standard analytical reports and maintain R2R master data for assigned entities
• Maintain fixed asset records in SAP and perform bank statement reconciliations
• Support audits with documentation and explanations, and cooperate with local finance, SSC departments and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, IFRS and company policies, and document R2R processes accurately

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualification
• Experience in Record to Report / General Ledger accounting
• Background in a Shared Service Center, outsourcing or industry environment is an advantage
• Fluent verbal and written English
• Detail-oriented, reliable, organized, good communicator and willing to learn in an international environment

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of IFRS
• Familiarity with SAP and MS Office
