Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth of Customs Support Group’s customs services portfolio across domestic and international markets. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, building long‑term relationships and expanding customs‑related services for a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Actively acquire new customers for import/export clearance, transit services and customs consultancy.
• Identify client needs and propose tailored customs and trade‑compliance solutions.
• Prepare and present commercial offers, proposals and business presentations.
• Negotiate contracts and manage the sales process from prospecting to signing.
• Maintain accurate sales records and report business‑development results.
• Build and sustain long‑term relationships with existing customers, acting as a trusted advisor on customs matters.
• Collaborate with customs and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customized solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, industry meetings and networking events.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience selling logistics, freight forwarding, customs or related services.
• Strong understanding of customs procedures, regulations and international trade processes.
• Proven experience working with B2B customers and managing commercial relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and able to work independently.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher; additional languages are a plus.
• Valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel for business purposes.
