Automation Engineer

About the role

Maersk is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, deploy and maintain enterprise‑grade automation solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform. The role sits in the Automation Center of Excellence and supports the Intelligent Automation strategy across logistics, finance, HR and IT domains.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy end‑to‑end automations using Power Automate Cloud and Desktop flows, and build Canvas and Model‑Driven Power Apps.
• Manage data models in Microsoft Dataverse and integrate with systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, SharePoint and legacy applications.
• Deploy unattended automations at scale, configure bot orchestration, queue management and monitoring to achieve >99.5% availability.
• Integrate AI Builder, Copilot Studio and Azure Cognitive Services for intelligent document processing and decision support.
• Ensure governance, licensing compliance and ALM best practices across Development, Test and Production environments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, produce design documentation and provide training to citizen developers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 4–7 years of hands‑on experience delivering production‑grade automation with the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience in large‑scale enterprise environments, preferably logistics or supply‑chain.

Required skills

• Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop), Power Apps, Microsoft Dataverse.
• AI Builder, Azure Cognitive Services, Power Platform governance and licensing.
• Azure DevOps / Power Platform CLI for CI/CD.
• SQL, JavaScript, JSON, C# for extending platform capabilities.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira or similar ITSM tools.
