Senior Security Engineer

About the role

VirtusLab is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to strengthen its Cloud & Data practice. The role focuses on designing, implementing and hardening security solutions across Microsoft’s security stack for SaaS and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consulting and engineering expertise for Cloud/SaaS infrastructure security projects.
• Implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, Intune and Azure security controls.
• Conduct incident response, security analysis and posture hardening activities.
• Secure and maintain Microsoft Stack services, applying Zero Trust principles.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC‑2.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud or SaaS infrastructure security consulting or engineering.
• Formal education in Computer Science, STEM or equivalent practical experience.
• English communication at B2 level or higher.
• Familiarity with security standards and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC‑2) is a plus.
