Senior Python Engineer (DevEx Team, Remote)

About the role

Crystal Intelligence is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join its Platform & Developer Experience (DevEx) team. This fully remote position supports developers across Europe and focuses on building scalable, high‑performance foundations for the Crystal platform.

Key responsibilities

• Improve performance, optimise database queries and enhance scalability.
• Configure monitoring and observability best practices.
• Develop and maintain internal libraries and development pipelines, including code‑coverage tooling.
• Write, debug, test and continuously deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback and refactor code as needed.

Required profile

• 8+ years of commercial experience building Python backend services and APIs.
• Strong software architecture knowledge and experience with distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with the Flask framework and performance optimisation techniques.
• Product‑oriented mindset and fluent English communication.
