Lead Back-End Engineer – Python & AWS

About the role

Digital Forms is looking for a Lead Back-End Engineer to drive the design and delivery of high‑performance, scalable back‑end systems for its clients. You will combine strategic architecture work with hands‑on development, ensuring that solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design complex, scalable back‑end systems for SaaS platforms and enterprise integrations.
• Define and enforce core back‑end technology standards, coding best practices and code‑review processes.
• Design and implement robust AWS cloud infrastructure, guiding serverless and container‑based solutions and championing Infrastructure as Code.
• Write clean, maintainable Python code for critical modules, leading by example.
• Mentor and coach engineering team members, fostering technical growth and high performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, subject‑matter experts and external partners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Promote comprehensive technical documentation across all projects.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience with Python and deep knowledge of web frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.
• Proven expertise designing, deploying and managing applications on AWS, including serverless (Lambda) and container orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS).
• Strong track record of system architecture for scalable, enterprise‑grade solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers.
