Chief Accountant

About the role

CI Games is looking for a Chief Accountant to lead its accounting function and ensure full tax compliance as the company prepares for major releases through 2028. The role combines strategic financial reporting with day‑to‑day accounting oversight in a remote, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting operations and guarantee overall tax compliance for CI Games SE.
• Prepare annual financial statements, including notes, cash flow, and deferred tax, and manage both annual and half‑year audits.
• Participate in the preparation of quarterly financial statements for the stock exchange.
• Calculate and submit all monthly and annual tax declarations (CIT, VAT, VAT EU, IFT/WHT, JPK reports) on time.
• Supervise GUS and NBP reporting preparation and submission.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on evolving Polish reporting requirements (Ksef, CIT‑JPK) and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Chief Accountant or equivalent senior accounting role.
• In‑depth knowledge of Polish tax legislation, including VAT, VAT EU, WHT, CIT, and MDR.
• Advanced Excel skills, including functions, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong organizational abilities, high attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work remotely with self‑discipline.
