Software Engineer II – Way4 Platform

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Software Engineer II to work on the Way4 issuing platform. The role is based in Warsaw and focuses on configuring and enhancing the platform to meet business and client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Parametrise and configure the Way4 issuing platform according to business and system requirements.
• Define, design and configure both standard and custom card products.
• Analyse the impact of existing configurations and client setups on Way4Cards objects and procedures.
• Prepare documentation, manuals and other artefacts to enable project teams to implement client solutions.
• Share knowledge with other departments and support cross‑functional teams.
• Diagnose issues, analyse root causes and implement effective resolutions.
• Drive resolution of complex problems that span multiple services and coordinate with vendors.
• Continuously learn and stay up‑to‑date with the Way4 platform.

Required profile

• Fluent English (C1 level or higher).
• Understanding of card‑issuing processes.
• Good knowledge of PL/SQL.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and good communication skills.
