Technical Delivery Manager - WAF Onboarding

About the role

Capco is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager in Cracow to coordinate Web Application Firewall (WAF) onboarding and related infrastructure activities in a banking environment. This is not a hands-on cybersecurity engineering role and previous cybersecurity experience is not required; the focus is on technical coordination and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate WAF onboarding for applications, from initial request through implementation and production/blocking mode.
• Work with application owners, architects, developers, infrastructure teams and WAF engineers to keep implementations moving.
• Coordinate WAF testing, tuning and production changes, and track actions, dependencies, blockers and delivery dates.
• Manage Change Requests and implementation schedules, and run several smaller technical initiatives at once.
• Maintain Jira boards, tickets and delivery backlogs.
• Coordinate infrastructure activities such as servers, load balancers, firewall rules and certificates.
• Support improvements and automation of WAF processes, and help document BAU and operational processes.
• Coordinate patching, compliance requirements and disaster recovery testing, and support urgent security changes such as zero-day WAF policy updates.

Required profile

• Experience in a large banking or financial services technology environment is essential.
• Solid understanding of how banking IT and infrastructure organisations operate.
• Experience working with application owners, developers, architects, infrastructure teams and project managers.
• Some experience in technical project coordination or project management.
• Ability to coordinate deployments and manage multiple smaller projects or workstreams.
• Agile / Scrum experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, self-sufficient and proactive.

Required skills

• Useful but not essential: understanding of WAF onboarding, tuning and blocking mode.
• Bonus: experience with F5 Advanced WAF, AVI WAF or NGINX+.
• Bonus: Jira and change management experience.
• Bonus: general understanding of servers, databases, load balancers, certificates and firewall rules.
