Senior Software Engineer I (Full Stack, Payments)

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer I focusing on full‑stack and payments at SpotOn, you will take extreme ownership of features, untangle complex systems, jump in wherever the team needs you, leverage AI tools daily, and provide technical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Take extreme ownership: see fixes through from tickets to production, regardless of stack layer.
• Navigate real complexity: untangle massive systems and solve high‑stakes puzzles.
• Be a "whatever it takes" engineer: fill gaps in front‑end or infrastructure as needed.
• Treat AI as a teammate: use AI tools to accelerate development and maintain quality.
• Drive the team forward: guide technical decisions and address tech debt proactively.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years building high‑traffic production software.
• Strong backend mastery in Golang (and preferably PHP).
• Fluency with AI tools for coding and debugging.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns for scalable systems.
• Solid English communication (minimum B2) and willingness to work onsite in Kraków or Gdańsk 2‑3 days a week.
