Senior Data Engineer (Databricks/Python/SQL)

About the role

DXC Luxoft is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for its Regulatory Reporting team in Poland, within the Investment Bank's Digital Operations Stream. The team develops and implements technologies that help clients meet their regulatory obligations and turn their data into value, working in small, autonomous Agile teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain new and existing data-driven applications, taking them from concept to completion
• Build reliable data pipelines for sourcing, processing, distributing and storing data
• Design data models that can support growing volumes
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle and give technical advice and recommendations
• Work with the product owner and other technologists, and share expertise with colleagues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent in the IT field
• 10+ years of experience in a similar role
• Nice to have: English at C1 Advanced level

Required skills

• Hands-on SQL, Databricks and advanced Python
• Building scalable data pipelines, processing high-volume batch and streaming data
• AI in engineering, Big Data, Data Warehouse and Data Lake
• Cloud technologies (e.g. Azure), Unix/Linux and shell scripting
• Spark, Delta Lake, DLT, GitLab
• Automated functional testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Desirable: database development (SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL)
