Senior Data Analytics Lead – Markets Data Risk

About the role

The Senior Data Analytics Lead will drive the design and delivery of advanced analytics solutions that mitigate data quality risk across global Markets functions. Reporting to senior management, you will work at the intersection of data engineering, risk management, and market operations to create scalable, high‑impact insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of strategic data analytics programmes, from design through testing, UAT and sign‑off.
• Plan and coordinate multiple simultaneous workstreams, translating schedules into JIRA plans and Confluence documentation.
• Design and build a best‑in‑class analytics platform that surfaces root‑cause insights for data quality issues.
• Analyse end‑to‑end data flows, identify control gaps and define data specifications and dashboards in partnership with technology teams.
• Develop and deploy machine‑learning models and advanced SQL/Python solutions to detect anomalies at scale.
• Mentor team members, manage competing priorities and ensure delivery of both project‑driven and business‑as‑usual tasks.
• Prepare and present executive‑level updates for senior management, governance forums, internal audit and regulators.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in financial services, preferably within Markets data, analytics, transformation or risk management.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale data initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong project‑management skills with experience in agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
