Business Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Business Controller to join our Finance team and support two of the largest EEM regions – Poland & Ukraine and Czech Republic & Slovakia. This role strengthens Business Control capabilities across the regions and provides high‑quality financial and business controlling support in a centralized regional setup.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the business to understand drivers, operational dependencies and performance metrics.
• Act as Finance Business Partner for the Service line, delivering actionable insights and guiding commercial decisions toward profitable growth.
• Drive forward‑looking business development, influencing pricing, productivity initiatives and contract profitability reviews.
• Collaborate with local controlling to ensure accurate budgeting, timely month‑end closing, balance‑sheet and P&L reporting, variance analysis and forecast preparation.
• Lead continuous process improvement, task harmonisation, simplification and automation.
• Support strategic and long‑term planning for the service business.
• Provide recommendations, training and coaching on reporting and accounting matters.
• Initiate and drive projects to achieve set objectives and key results.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in Business Controlling, FP&A, Finance or a similar role.
• Master’s degree in finance or accounting; CIMA/ACCA qualification underway is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with solid understanding of financial performance.
• Self‑motivated, result‑driven with project‑management capabilities.
• Ability to influence, communicate effectively and operate in fast‑changing matrix environments.
• Sound business acumen combining commercial and financial drivers.
• Fluent English (verbal and written); knowledge of Polish, Czech, Slovak or Ukrainian is a plus.
