Senior Corporate Tax Specialist

About the role

Maersk is seeking a highly motivated Senior Tax Specialist to join its Global Tax Operations team, supporting the Europe (EUR) region. The role involves partnering with local businesses to ensure compliance with tax regulations and handling tax authority enquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax compliance processes across the EUR region, including review of outsourced direct tax returns (CIT, WHT, TP).
• Prepare and review responses to tax authority queries and assist with tax audits.
• Support tax reporting, transfer pricing issues, controls, and documentation on a regional basis.
• Collaborate with tax colleagues across the EUR region and the headquarters in Denmark, staying up‑to‑date with legislative developments.

Required profile

• Motivated self‑starter with a can‑do attitude, organized and problem‑solving mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and spoken English; French, German or Arabic preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree; qualified accountant or tax adviser preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of tax professional experience, preferably in a global company.

Required skills

• Experience preparing and/or reviewing direct tax returns.
• Familiarity with EU regional tax compliance and transfer pricing documentation.
• Knowledge of corporate income tax (CIT), withholding tax (WHT) and transfer pricing (TP) concepts.
