About the role
Amentum's new Integrated Delivery Solutions (IDS) team in Kraków and Warsaw is looking for a Senior Assistant Structural Engineer. The selected candidate will be employed by Critical Mission Services Sp. z o.o., part of Amentum. The role supports the IDS team in delivering structural engineering inputs for design and construction projects in highly regulated sectors such as infrastructure, industry and energy. It is based in Poland, with projects following UK/European standards and possible exposure to US codes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for concrete and steel structures
- Support structural analysis and design under senior engineer supervision
- Perform calculations and checks for structural elements using the finite element method or hand calculation, and prepare calculation reports
- Work in BIM environments (Revit / Tekla), including model reviews and clash checks
- Work in Staad Pro, SAP2000, IdeaStatica and Mathcad
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams
Required profile
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BSc/MSc)
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering
- Fluent English (B2 or higher) and Polish
- Willingness to learn and work in highly regulated sectors (defence, energy, industrial)
Required skills
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles for RC and steel
- Experience with Eurocodes (EN 1990-1999)
- Experience with Revit and/or Tekla
- Experience with RSAP, Staad Pro, SAP2000 or other finite element software
- Comfortable working in digital environments and interacting with BIM models
