Senior Assistant Civil Engineer

About the role

Amentum's new Integrated Delivery Solutions (IDS) team in Kraków and Warsaw is looking for a Senior Assistant Civil Engineer. The selected candidate will be employed by Critical Mission Services Sp. z o.o., part of Amentum. The role supports the IDS team in delivering civil engineering solutions for complex, highly regulated projects in defence, industry, energy and infrastructure, contributing to design, technical deliverables and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering design for site development, grading and drainage, stormwater management, flood protection, earthworks, terrain modelling, cut-and-fill analysis, underground utilities, access roads, pavements and associated infrastructure
• Develop 3D models, drawings, layouts and detailed design documentation
• Apply and interpret UK and European design standards
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, MEP, Architecture, Fire and Environmental disciplines to resolve interfaces
• Ensure compliance with IDS governance, quality procedures and document control

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering (MSc/MEng preferred)
• 2-5 years of experience in civil engineering design within infrastructure
• Fluent written and spoken English (B2 or higher); Polish also required
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently on simpler tasks

Required skills

• Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, QGIS, Navisworks or equivalent
• BIM workflows (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks)
• Knowledge of UK/European standards; familiarity with US codes is an advantage
