Platform Engineer – Cloud & Data Solutions

About the role

At Appsilon we empower global organisations with data‑driven solutions. We are looking for a Platform Engineer who combines strong cloud and infrastructure expertise with a consulting mindset to design, build and evolve reliable platforms for data science and machine‑learning workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable cloud environments (AWS, Azure) for data‑driven projects.
• Automate DevOps processes using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD and GitlabCI.
• Define infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop infrastructure for data science and ML workflows such as Databricks and Posit.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and advise clients on architecture and best practices.
• Lead documentation efforts and internal technical initiatives.
• Work on one main client project at a time, with occasional context switching.

Required profile

• Mid‑senior platform or cloud engineer with 4+ years of experience.
• Proven track record leading at least one technical solution implementation.
• Expertise in AWS, Kubernetes and Linux systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Background in CI/CD environments.
• Strong consulting mindset to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Fluent English (minimum C1) and self‑organization skills for a remote‑first setup.
